Just the facts.

• It is impossible to tell you exactly how much urine your baby will produce.
• Each once of these diaper systems are different in material, weight  and how they fit a baby.

Given that. These tests are intended to see how much liquid each diaper can hold and should not be the only reason to choose one diaper over another. Some factors not considered in these tests are weight or shape of a baby, liveliness of the baby's movement, any period of time the baby may be in a diaper.

Here' is what we found out about the child's bladder.

The amount of urine a child's bladder should hold can be calculated by the following equation:

AGE + 2 = BLADDER CAPACITY (in ounces)
or
(AGE + 2)30 = BLADDER CAPACITY (in milliliters/cubic centimeters)

For example, a 5-year-old child's bladder should hold:

5 + 2 = 7 ounces
or
(5+2) 30 = 210 ml or cc's

Objective: To find out what cloth diaper holds the most liquid.

How: Each diaper will be weighed clean and dry. Each diaper will be placed into a clean Ziploc bag while water is added to collect any spilled water. Water being added to the diaper will be measured as well as the water spilt for the diaper.
